New Place means new ideas

Changing location to Groningen, Netherlands

Since last September 2019, I was living in Paris, France, doing what’s is called M2 Master studies at Paris-Dauphine. I would say one of the greatest experiences in a long time!, meeting such an amazing people that I’ll never forget.

J’étais dans le programme “MATH” M2, étudiant principalement les évolution PDE, son existence, les méthodologies pour travailler dans la reconnaissance d’image et également sur des cours de troisième cycle de processus stochastiques.

Mais, compte tenu des circonstances, j’ai reçu une très belle proposition de travailler au sein d’un groupe d’analyse numérique à Groningen, dirigé par le Dr. Cristobal Bertoglio au Rijksuniversiteit Groningen (RUG).

Même si je vais probablement perdre de nombreuses opportunités en changeant et en me rendant dans un endroit un peu moins connu, la possibilité d’acquérir de nouvelles techniques et de m’expérimenter dans un groupe bien développé exerce ma nature intrinsèquement curieuse à explorer et à apprendre quelque chose de significatif par rapport à ce que cela signifie d’être en vie.

What it means changing places to me

What I’ve learnt during this long journey working in different places, learning about new pleople and having meaningfull relationships in different languages is that even though we might fell the insecurity of changing to a new place and going into the unknown, life is too short to remain quiet and still in one place even when the possibilities around the world are enormous.

The change itself is difficult and the challenges you’ll face are formidable, but as the human spirit is greater than our primitive comfort desire, it’s in my duty as an explorer to capture what I’ve found is the greatest pleasure in life: explore our will to create a surrounding nature that exerts history, culture and passion throughout society and language.

If you read this and consider yourself as an explorer, take the risk, go out not scared, explore our human will in a world with multiple challenges, don’t regret as life can be described just as numerous events in time experienced just once, where we can’t waste time regretting not doing it…
